Description

Every month’s full moon illuminated not only the sky but also our deepest thoughts and emotions. It’s the perfect time to release, cleanse, and renew.

This ritual of cleansing is essential at this time of the year. It’s a sacred opportunity to clear away negative energy, purify your body and soul, and reset your intentions.

The energy of the full moon calls us to release what no longer serves us, making space for new possibilities and growth.

 The Ritual of Cleansing
Cleansing your space, mind, and spirit is a practice that should be embraced. Here’s how I do it, using the power of nature’s gifts:

Herbal Bath Soak – Infused with sage and chamomile, it helps clear stagnant energy and brings a deep sense of calm.
Sage – Burned to purify, sage is a sacred tool to remove negativity and create balance.
Body Oil with Cashmere – Moisturizes deeply, leaving your skin soft and your energy renewed.
Face Mask with Green Clay – Detoxifies and rejuvenates the skin while helping you release mental blockages.

During full moon, take time to honor your body, mind, and spirit. Let go of the old and make space for the new.

How to Burn Sage for Energy Cleansing

Burning sage (smudging) is an ancient practice used to clear negative energy, refresh your space, and bring a sense of renewal. Follow these steps to perform the ritual correctly:

1. Prepare Your Space

  • Open windows and doors to allow negative energy to exit and fresh energy to flow in. The smoke carries away stagnant energy rather than trapping it inside.
  • You can also light a candle or play soft music to create a calming atmosphere.

2. Lighting the Sage

  • Hold your sage bundle with intention, recognizing it as a sacred tool.
  • Use a ceramic, metal, or fireproof bowl (like an abalone shell) to catch the ashes.
  • Light the tip of the sage stick using a lighter or candle and let it burn for a few seconds before gently blowing out the flame, allowing it to smolder and release smoke.

3. Cleansing Yourself & Your Space

  • Start by cleansing your own energy: move the sage around your body in circular motions from head to toe.
  • Walk slowly around your space, allowing the smoke to reach all corners and stagnant areas.
  • Pay special attention to places that feel heavy or where energy tends to collect, like doorways, closets, or under furniture.

4. Set Your Intention & Affirmations

  • As the smoke fills the space, speak or think affirmations, such as:

“I release all that no longer serves me.”

“My space is cleansed, peaceful, and filled with positive energy.”

  • Trust the process and feel the shift in the atmosphere.

5. Extinguishing the Sage

  • Once you’re done, gently press the burning tip into your bowl or a fireproof surface like sand or a ceramic dish until it fully stops smoking. Avoid using water, as it makes relighting difficult.
  • Keep windows open for a while to let any remaining stagnant energy escape.

Tip: For added protection, follow up with palo santo or a few drops of essential oils like lavender or frankincense.

Smudging with sage is a powerful ritual that can be performed during full moons, new beginnings, or whenever you feel the need to reset and refresh your energy.
